In the Ljubljana Castle courtyard, Fran spotted a tiny wave-shaped crack in a mural. Zarja pressed it, and a hidden door swung open.
Fran and Zarja stepped through the doorway. Stone stairs curled down beneath the castle, leading to a station neither friend had ever imagined.
At the bottom waited a magical train with its doors open. Fran climbed aboard, and Zarja followed, ready to discover where the rails led.
Inside, an illustrated route panel glowed from castle to wave. The train began to roll, carrying Fran and Zarja into the hidden passage.
The train slipped into an underwater tunnel. Bright fish streamed beside the windows as Fran and Zarja watched the blue world rush past.
A sea turtle glided past the window. Zarja spotted a shell symbol ahead and called, “That must be our next turn!”
Mermaids waved from a coral arch as the train slowed. A coral-crown symbol appeared on the panel, adding their greeting to the route.
The train reached an underwater kingdom station, but its route lamps suddenly went dark. Fran and Zarja could not see the way home.
Zarja studied the station panel. It repeated every symbol from their ride in order, revealing a path they could follow.
Following Zarja’s sequence, Fran pressed the symbols. One by one, the route lamps relit all the way back to the castle.
The train raced through the underwater tunnel. Fran and Zarja waved to the mermaids, turtles, and fish as their shining route carried them home.
Back in the courtyard, the hidden door folded into its mural. Fran and Zarja waved their tiny shell-shaped glow, and somewhere below, the sea world waved back.
