Can I make a story with pictures without uploading a photo?
Yes. Describe a character or use an optional photo, then choose the story idea. The web creator supports up to three characters and stories in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Korean, and Arabic. Start with the free preview before deciding whether to complete the illustrated story.
What devices does it work on?
StorySafari works on iPhone and iPad — download it free from the App Store. You can also create stories and order printed books right in your browser with the StorySafari web creator.
Can I print the stories?
Yes. You can order beautifully printed keepsake books of the stories your child creates.
Are there parental controls?
In the iPhone and iPad app, grown-up actions such as purchases use a "Grown-ups Only" gate. For browser creation, a parent or guardian should guide the child and handle checkout.
Can I limit how many stories my child creates?
In the iPhone and iPad app's Parental Controls, you can turn on "Limit story creation," choose how often it resets, and set how many stories are allowed per period. Reading finished stories is always unlimited.
