Wren spotted butterflies swirling above the castle drawbridge. Their bright wings tugged her toward the tallest tower.

Wren hurried across the bridge as the butterflies dipped through the castle gate. A tiny silver chime rang somewhere above.

Inside the courtyard, Wren followed bobbing wings past banners and stone steps. The butterflies vanished beside a narrow spiral stair.

Wren climbed carefully, step by step, while butterflies flickered around her headband. At the top, an old bell rope swayed beside a locked wooden door.

Wren touched the rope, and the butterflies tapped the door together. A golden butterfly mark glowed beneath their wings.

Wren pressed the glowing mark, and the lock clicked open. Behind the door, the great butterfly bell shone softly, waiting for her next choice.

The bell rope gleamed above Wren’s hands. When she pulled, silver wings unfolded across the bell and pointed toward the glowing lock.

A tiny golden key slipped from the bell’s wing and landed in Wren’s palm. She fitted it into the glowing lock beneath the bell.

Click! The lock opened, and warm light poured through the bell’s carved butterflies. Inside rested a little silver bell with wings like moonbeams.

Wren lifted the little bell and gave it one bright ring. Butterflies burst from the silver bell, swirling around her like a sparkling ribbon.

The butterflies swept to the high windows, revealing the castle below and a sky full of dancing light. Wren held the little bell close, its gentle chime echoing through the tower.

Wren rang the bell once more, and every butterfly tucked its shimmer into the great bell’s carvings. Then the chamber grew quiet, with one silver wing resting warmly in Wren’s hand.
